Passport Information

All U.S. citizens will be required to hold a valid U.S. passport to enter the United States when returning from Mexico.

If you need to apply for a US Passport, you can download the application online. There is a wizard available where you answer the questions given and they fill in the boxes for you. Once you answer all the questions, you just print and take the following information to a desigated post offices:

• completed application
• evidence of citizenship (ex. certified birth certificate)
• current government ID (ex. driver's license)
• 2 passport photos
• fee

Currently the turnaround time for passports is 10 days to 2 weeks.

For pictures, I suggest Walgreens. It's quick and inexpensive.
